While there have been plenty of people who have been giving music superstar Zayn Malik a lot of stick for cancelling his gigs due to anxiety, there are those who do feel for the singer and have been sending messages of support to him. One such person, who has spoken out to defend Zayn and support him, is fellow X Factor alum Olly Murs, and Olly has admitted that he can see where Malik is coming from and how scary it can be, especially without his One Direction boys there to lean on.
Murs was chatting to BBC News, when he told them, "It is definitely one of my worst fears and my heart goes out to Zayn. I feel for him, because he did seven or eight worldwide tours and he always had friends around him. Now, he has that daunting anxiety (of) having to come out on stage without those other guys around. He's got to start at theatres or smaller shows where he can build that confidence again."
He added, "Once Zayn gets out there and starts performing, he'll be great. It's just that initial thing of getting over the line. But fingers crossed he does get to perform that album at some point. You have to put your heart out to those guys for coming out and being honest. You've got to remember they're young and the pressure is massive. People have paid for their tickets and they want you to entertain them. It can take its weight on you."
Hopefully it will only be a matter of time before Zayn Malik finally manages to overcome his anxiety issues and gets back on that stage to give the fans the performance of a lifetime.
