Stephenie Meyer has become a household name thanks to the success of her Twilight novels and the movies that followed. Now, with Fifty Shades of Grey taking over and becoming the book that everybody is talking about, Stephenie has given her views on the book, claiming that she has never read it.
Meyer explained, “I read some fan fiction years ago and I found it really like, kind of cool. I felt it was a little bit sad that they were doing them in a way where [the stories] weren’t theirs, but I feel like all those people, they’re practicing and they’re going to write their book, it’s going to come out of them eventually, because they're writers.”
Stephenie then went on to admit that she did not feel that she had missed out by not reading any of the Fifty Shades of Grey novels. She told Access Hollywood that the Fifty Shades of Grey book “is not my kind of book - not my thing.”
Fifty Shades of Grey is following in the footsteps of the likes of Twilight, by being adapted for the big screen. There have been a lot of rumours in recent weeks and months regarding who will be playing Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
