So far on our Top 10 list of video games that are being made into movies, we have looked at games that could be adapted, games that should be adapted and games that already have been adapted. Last time out saw Resident Evil 6 at number 6 on the list, which means today we enter the top five.
At number five on the list is the upcoming movie Need for Speed, which is based on the impressive car racing video game. Need for Speed is already well into production and already has an official release date. We have also seen plenty of stills and footage from the set of the Need for Speed movie.
The Need for Speed movie centres around a street racer, who has just been released from prison, after being framed by a rich business associate. The racer decides to seek revenge and joins a cross-country race but things take a turn for the worse, when his former partner discovers his plan and puts a bounty on his head.
Need for Speed stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Kid Cudi, Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots and Michael Keaton. Scott Waugh directs Need for Speed, which will hit the big screen on March 14, 2014 in both the US and the UK.
