There have been so many different times over the years, where we have seen a Hollywood star deciding to take on an extreme makeover for a specific role, with some stars agreeing to put on a lot of weight to better portray a character, while there are others who have also gone the other way and lost a lot of weight in order to make their performance seem a lot more real.
Hollywood actor Taylor Kitsch stars in the upcoming new TV miniseries Waco, where he plays the role of cult leader David Koresh, which required the actor to lose a huge amount of weight for the role. Taylor has now been talking about the process and the experience, with the actor admitting that he is now eating anything and everything he can since the filming came to an end.
Kitsch was a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show, when he explained, "I lost just around 30 pounds. I am still gaining back the weight and literally eating anything and everything in sight. I had four months to lose the weight, which is a healthier way of doing it. So it's like six pounds, seven pounds a month, which helps. It's better than 10 or 12. I'd get 500 calories at breakfast and then I'd go from veggies in the mid-afternoon to chicken broth after 4 o'clock. And then I'd go run, and that's what you get."
As well as starring Taylor Kitsch, Waco boasts and all star cast which includes such talented stars as Rory Culkin, Melissa Benoist, John Leguizamo, Julia Garber, Shea Whigham, Andrea Riseborough, and Michael Shannon, among others. Waco is due to come to the small screen some time during January 2018.
