When you ask people who Selena Gomez is, the majority of them will answer that she is a singer, or a musician, or something related to the music industry, but what many people seem to forget is that the music superstar has actually been involved in the acting industry for most of her life too. That is exactly what Selena is going to be doing with her latest project in her career.
Selena Gomez and her mother managed to pick up the rights to the hit Jay Asher novel 13 Reasons Why, which has now been adapted into a new Netflix series, which is due to hit the streaming site in the next few days. Now, Selena has been talking about working on the passion project, which sees her and her mother as executive producers, admitting that it would not have been made possible if not for her mom.
Gomez took to her official social media accounts to share a picture of her meeting with the Netflix execs, along with the caption, "This was the day I was nervous as hell going into @Netflix for the first time to talk about @13reasonswhy. My mom found this book in 2009 and worked her a*s off to make it with me, guide me and tell this story authentically (the only reason, beside Jay this project was even made)."
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez previously took to social media to share a little teaser from 13 Reasons Why, with her fans and followers, whoare clearly very excited about the project, along with the caption, "A peek at a passion project I've been working on with @Netflix. @13ReasonsWhy arrives 3/31."
We cannot wait to see what 13 Reasons Why has to offer as a television series.
