When you are one of the biggest superstars on the face of the Earth, pretty much everyone is going to want to get close to you, so it really can become quite difficult to know what people's motives are and what they actually want from you. It is a very horrible way to have to approach life and approach the people who come into your life but it is necessary to make sure that these are really the people you want to keep around.
This has certainly been the case for the hugely talented global superstar Selena Gomez, who has admitted that she has found it quite difficult to make any real friends in her life. Selena says that there are a huge amount of people who she actually knows, but when it comes to people she would consider her actual friends, she could probably count them on one hand.
Gomez was talking to Business of Fashion, when she said, "You have to figure out the people that are in your circle. I feel like I know everybody but have no friends. I have like three good friends that I can tell everything to, but I know everyone. I go anywhere and I'm like, 'Hey guys, how's it going?'"
She then went on to add, "And it feels great to be connected to people, but having boundaries is so important. You have to have those few people that respect you, want the best for you and you want the best for them. It sounds cheesy, but it's hard."
As far as her career is concerned, Selena Gomez is currently working on her third studio album, although she has yet to give any details about when we can expect any new music from her.
