It is not unusual for celebrities and public figures to rant on social media platforms about awful services from airlines. Last week was Nicole Meyer's turn, who took her woes to twitter and lament about awful services from United Airlines. She tweeted twice, noting how unprofessional the airline staff members were.
This comes out as strange, given that Nicole Meyer happens to be one of those few celebrities who have managed to stay away from controversies in a long time. The sassy South African model prefers to lead a quiet life when she is not modeling. That explains why her rants against the airline were taken seriously by many.
Nicole's tweets seem to have caught the airlines CEO attention. Lamenting about the airline staff, Nicole noted that the flight is the worst she has had in a long time. She went on to point how the airline staff members were rude to her. Barely a week later and Oscar Munoz, who is the airlines new CEO owned up to the fact that indeed some of United Airlines staff are rude.
This is of course, a move that seems to have left many people amazed. Whether the move by the CEO was triggered by Nicole Meyer's tweets or not is still up for debate. One thing's for sure though. Nicole's tweets were seen and read by many. That fact alone is enough to make any serious CEO take some action. This appears to be exactly what happened here. It is therefore right to actually thank Nicole Meyer for come to the rescue of so many travelers who may have thought of using United Airlines.
