Michael Rosenbaum, of 'Smallville' fame makes his directorial debut in 'Back in the Day,' a raunchy comedy that features a new twist on the typical teenage coming of age story. In it, he also plays the lead role of Jim Owens, a man who heads to his high school reunion hoping to convince his friends to relive the glory days with him one last time - and nearly ends up destroying both his friendships and his town in the process.

Nick Swardson is well known as a comedian and actor
The indie film was recently picked up by Screen Media, who will be releasing the movie in theaters and video-on-demand on January 7, 2014. In a press release, Screen Media Films President Suzanne Blech stated:
"We have followed Michael Rosenbaum's career with great interest over the years and we are thrilled to be working with him on his directorial debut."

Swardson plays the main character's friend in the upcoming film
Well-known stand-up comedian Nick Swardson joins Rosenbaum in the film as one of Jim Owens' friends. In addition to his performances on stage, Swardson has had a long friendship with Adam Sandler, and has appeared on Comedy Central's 'Reno 911!' as well as movies such as 'That's My Boy,' and 'Grown Ups 2.' In addition to 'Back in the Day,' he will also be voicing the character of 'Remy' in the animated comedy 'Hell & Back,' which is in post-production and set to release later this year.
