As we continue to get ever closer to the big release of the Warner Bros and DC movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we continue to hear more and more rumours about what we can expect from the most eagerly anticipated movie of 2016. We know that actor Michael Shannon, who played the role of General Zod in Man of Steel, will return for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but in what capacity?
There have been plenty of rumours about what is going to happen with Michael Shannon in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with many fans suggesting that we will see him being transformed into Doomsday. Well, Michael has now opened up about his role in the movie and it looks like it is going to be far less exciting than we hoped.
Shannon was chatting to Cinema Blend, when he explained to them, "Yeah, I say some stuff. But not a whole lot! I mean, I am dead. [Laughs] … I’m just like a ghost. It’s kind of like Russell Crowe in the first one. Jor-El. For some reason, these Kryptonian spirits, they linger. Even once you crack my neck, you can’t shut me up"
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will bring together the holy trinity, with Henry Cavill back in the role of Clark Kent aka Superman, while we will also see Ben Affleck taking on the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, with Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit the big screen on March 25, 2016 in both the US and the UK.
