Singer Madonna has been working in the music industry for decades now and she is still as big and as successful today as she was all those years ago, when she burst onto the music scene. Madonna is currently enjoying her Rebel Hearts tour and the music superstar has opened up about what the event represents and how she appreciates the simple things in life.

Madonna explained, "The theme of the show is romance, love, living for love, being a rebel heart... They're all kind of intertwined. It's about rising above, believing in your dreams, overcoming heartbreak, things like that - you know, the simple things in life. [Am I just a simple girl at heart?] Deep down inside I am, yes. But I tackle pretty complex themes, I guess, in my work."
As well as talking about what her Rebel Heart tour is all about and how she loves the simple things in life, Madonna also went on to talk about her upbringing. Madonna grew up in Detroit and she says that she does not believe she would be the same artist she has been, if it was not for her upbringing.

She added, "I appreciate my provincial upbringing - it's my people, y'know. To me it's really important that I come from the Midwest. My father and the people that I was surrounded with had a very strong work ethic and a very practical approach to work. There weren't a lot of frills."
Madonna has really been having a lot of fun on her Rebel Hearts tour and was recently joined on stage by Rita Ora, where the two clearly enjoyed themselves.
