While we do still get plenty of interesting and exciting ideas in Hollywood every year, there are still a huge amount of sequels, prequels, remakes, and reboots taking place, not to mention comic book movies and films based on books. With that said, we do enjoy a good sequel if there is need for it and the first movie was a great movie itself, giving us that urge for more.
However, there have been many times over the years, that we have been given a movie sequel that we really did not need and, in all fairness, nobody actually even wanted. Well, if British actor Jude Law was to get his way, we would have another one of those on our hands, with talk of there being a potential sequel to the 2006 movie The Holiday.
For those of you who have never seen The Holiday, it is officially described as "Two women troubled with guy-problems swap homes in each other's countries, where they each meet a local guy and fall in love," and yes, it is as bad as the description suggests.
With that said though, actor Jude Law, who plays one of these "local guys" in the movie, was recently doing an interview with Glamour magazine, when they suggested a possible The Holiday 2 movie, asking Jude if he would be interested in it, to which Law responded, "That's a good idea. Yeah, (of) course! Absolutely." Please no!
As well as starring Jude Law, The Holiday also starred Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and Jack Black. The movie was written and directed by Nancy Meyers and made $205m worldwide.
