There has been so much talk about the new Fantastic Four reboot movie for the past few weeks and months now and, way before the film was even due for release, there were plenty of people who were not even willing to give it a chance. In all fairness, Fantastic Four is not as bad as some people are making out, although it is far from being a top comic book movie.
The reviews for Fantastic Four have been less than impressive, with the new movie being slated by fans and critics alike, which has led to Josh Trank speaking out about the film. Josh claims that the reason his Fantastic Four film has been so harshly criticised, is because of the interference by Fox, who would not let him make the movie the way he envisioned it.
Trank took to his official Twitter account to tell his fans and followers, "A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would've recieved great reviews. You’ll probably never see it. That’s reality though." Unfortunately though, he has since returned to Twitter to delete the post, with many fans criticising him for speaking out against Fox.
With this new Fantastic Four movie already being considered a huge flop, many fans have been calling for Fox to do right by the franchise, by allowing the Fantastic Four characters to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is unlikely that Fox will be willing to do this and we expect that the Fantastic Four could still make enough money at the box office for Fox to green light a sequel.
Fantastic Four is out now in both the US and the UK.
