Jessie J is a judge on the UK version of the Voice, and it has now come down to three contestants for her. However, Jessie's done something that not many judges so far have done - she's banned her finalists from going on Twitter, after realizing how much their performances are getting affected by public feedback.
She claims that they've gotten distracted by the social networking site, and has told the trio, including Sarah Cassidy, Ash Morgan, and Matt Henry, to stay off Twitter.
She explained her decision by saying, "I have said to the team don’t be obsessed with Twitter, I’ve even unfollowed some of them because it gets too much – it’s constant. I want to say to them not to get too obsessed with it because it’s 10% of the world, it’s not real. You have to focus on what’s in front of you and not get distracted.”
Do you guys think that banning the contestants from using Twitter will help them focus more? It will certainly prevent them from absorbing both negative and positive feedback from the outside world, but that can actually be a hindrance as well as a help. Let us know what you think in the comments.
