A few weeks back we were taking a bit of a look at the career of Jennifer Lawrence and what new movies she had coming our way and, after being talked about for some time, we had still not seen any progress on the new movie Red Sparrow. However, it seems that things are now beginning to move forward, as it has been reported that some new casting news has taken place on the project.
According to the recent reports, Joel Edgerton has been in talks to join Jennifer Lawrence in the cast of Red Sparrow, and it has been claimed that it is pretty much a done deal that he will be on board for the project. Jennifer has worked with some top names over the years, but there are not many out there who are as talented as Joel Edgerton, who does not seem to get the credit or recognition her deserves.
Red Sparrow is set in "Russia, Dominika Egorova is forced to become a 'Sparrow', a trained seductress, in the post-Soviet intelligence service.
She is assigned to work against Nathaniel Nash, a CIA officer, and the two clash until the sexual attraction kicks in and outs them both at risk. The plot twists and Dominika is recruited by the CIA to uncover a traitor in Washington."
It will be interesting to see if we get any more new casting news over the coming days and weeks, and just how long it is going to be before we finally see Red Sparrow going into production. Francis Lawrence is on board to direct Red Sparrow, which is currently aiming for a November 10, 2017 release.
