While our Girl of the Day section tends to focus on some of the beautiful foreign models who have been coming through and trying to make a name for themselves in the modelling industry, today we have decided to mix things up a little bit. Our Girl of the Day for today is the veteran American model Danita Angell, who was one of the biggest models in the business back in the late nineties and early noughties.
During her career we saw Danita Angell appearing on the cover of magazines including Vogue Russia, Vogue Italy, Japanese magazine Spur, and American magazines Surface - n°29, and Nylon. She also modelled in advertisements for the likes of Akris, Krizia, Max Mara, Missoni, Roberto Cavelli, Strenesse, Trussardi, and Versace Couture.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s Danita Angell regularly appeared on the runways, walking in shows for Alberto Biani, Anna Molinari, Anna Sui, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Callaghan, Cerruti, Chanel, Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, Jil Sander, Jill Stuart, John Galliano, Les Copains, Louis Vuitton, Marcel Marongiu, Marni, MaxMara, Moschino, Nicole Miller, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Prada, Richard Tyler, Strenesse, Ter et Bantine, and Vivienne Tam.
It is always nice to look back over the career of someone who has been so successful and there have not been many models who have enjoyed so much success in the modelling industry as Danita Angell did at the height of her career. To be fair, Danita is still up there with some of the most beautiful women around and we love to see her on the modelling scene.
