When supermodel Gigi Hadid first began to come through on the modelling scene, there were many people who criticised her, claiming that she was only making a name for herself on the modelling scene due to who her family was. However, Gigi has since gone on to prove that she has what it takes to mix it with the biggest and the best models in the business, landing plenty of big modelling gigs along the way.
Gigi Hadid has walked in plenty of fashion shows during her career to date and, as seems to be the case with a lot of models, Gigi has her own specific way of preparing for a big show. The stunning star has revealed that she tends to get nervous before taking to the runway, so uses some breathing techniques in order to calm herself down.
Hadid was chatting in a video with Elle UK Online, when she told them, "Before I walk, I usually think of what the designer wants from me, whether that's an energy or getting into the music or calming myself down with breathing. I have to focus on what my job is that day. You have to go to work ready to block out everything that's outside of your working environment."
She added, "So to be able to change channel in your mind and to be able to separate your thoughts and kind of just focus on what you're doing at the moment. Because my job is based on the way I look, people assume that that means you don't have human qualities in you ... so I hope that everyone can see that's the point of all this. It doesn't matter. We're not perfect."
Well we think you are pretty close to being perfect, Gigi.
