Rise of the Planet of the Apes actress Freida Pinto has revealed how she had a brief run in with a suicide bomber while she was filming in Afghanistan. Back in 2006, Freida was a presenter for Zee TV's travel show Full Circle and they headed off to film in the travel hotspots of Afghanistan but had to flee when they learnt of a suicide bomber in the area.
Pinto explained, "We were on our way to one of the temples in Kabul, and we saw these people standing around, staring at this car, their arms folded. They calmly asked us to go the other way... The guy said, 'You see that little red car? There's a suicide bomber in that car, and it's going to go off anytime.'”
She added, "He was so matter-of-fact... It was so sad. No one even knew who (the bomber) was. I don't know if there was an explosion. We left the scene." Freida Pinto recently revealed that she would love to work with her boyfriend Dev Patel on another movie but it would have to be different from their previous movie, the 2008 hit Slumdog Millionaire.
