There has been a lot of debating about the gender pay gap in Hollywood and the overall gender inequality in the business over the years, with many stars coming out to voice their concerns with the way things are being run. Now, actress Evan Rachel Wood has come out to give her views on the matter, discussing her first hand experience of gender inequality in Hollywood and what she has been trying to do in order to help get the industry into a better place.

She explained, "Oh my God, so many times. I've dated and was married to an actor [Jamie] and there was transparency there in our salaries. It was staggering, the difference. Even with people I feel like I'm on par with, the difference is miles away from each other."
She added, "There's me working consistently since I was three or five years old, and I work hard, and yet they weren't going to give me top billing because I wasn't a man. I've had to start turning down roles because they won't pay me enough."

Fortunately though, there have been those who have seen the light and have been willing to pay Evan Rachel Wood what she deserves, with the actress having a number of new projects to her name. It is not only on the big screen though, as fans of this stunning star can see Evan taking on the role of Dolores Abernathy in the new television series Westworld, which will premiere on HBO in October.
