British beauty Emilia Clarke has gone from being a relatively unknown actress, to becoming one of the biggest and most recognisable stars in the business, thanks to her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. One of the things that Emilia will forever be best known for, is those Game of Thrones nude scenes and sex scenes, which has seen the actress getting a lot of backlash from feminists, something which she is not too happy about.
Clarke quoted a line from season 4, when Daenerys tells Daario to get naked, explaining, "'Take off your clothes.' It's brilliant. I actually went up to [co-creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss] and thanked them. I was like, 'That's a scene I've been waiting for!'"
She then went on to add, "I get a lot of crap for having done nude scenes and sex scenes. That, in itself, is so antifeminist. Women hating on other women is just the problem. That's upsetting, so it's kind of wonderful to have a scene where I was like, 'There you go!'"
It is highly unlikely that we are going to see any more nude scenes from Emilia Clarke in Game of Thrones, although you can never rule anything out with the show. We have enjoyed seeing her character grow and evolve over the seasons and we cannot wait to see just where her journey will end.
Game of Thrones season seven continues on Sunday nights on HBO.
