We have seen a lot of impressive method actors over the years, who really like to immerse themselves in their latest role and really become that character at all times, not only when the camera is rolling. British actor Daniel Radcliffe is not exactly known for his method acting but it seems that he did decide to up the stakes a bit for her latest role in the new movie Jungle.

In the film, Daniel Radcliffe plays the role of Yossi Ghinsberg, who travelled to the Amazon in search of an Indian village, before things took a turn for the worse, leaving him and his companion battling for survival. Daniel has now revealed his difficult preparation for the role, admitting that he pretty much starved himself in order to be able to do the role justice.
Radcliffe explained, "I had a fillet of white fish and a protein bar a day. I didn't eat for two days, it is not a healthy thing to do. I do not advise anyone doing it but I was doing it for a very short time. It was worth it for the meal I got at the end of filming."

He added, "I'm not a method actor at all but I felt like I would be making my job harder and not doing justice to this guy's story if I was going home each night to a steak dinner and living really comfortably. Nobody really asked me to do it, it was kind of self-inflicted but I think it was needed. A lot of people were very worried about me. It took me a while to get back to eating properly afterwards. It does mess with your head a bit."
Jungle is set for limited release in the US from October 20, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on January 11, 2018.
