Hollywood has come in for a lot of criticism over the past few years, with many people slamming the Academy Awards for being racist, due to the people who keep getting nominated for Oscars, while there has also been a lot of talk about the sexism in Hollywood, with a lack of equal pay for the women in the industry.

Many of the stars in Hollywood have spoken out about these issues and now, British actor Daniel Radcliffe has decided to give his views on what has been going on. Daniel says that he can totally understand where people are coming from and agrees that there has been racism and sexism taking place in Hollywood, which he hopes will begin to change in the near future.
Radcliffe explained, "I mean it's pretty undeniable, that's the thing, we like to think of ourselves as being a very progressive industry but we have been lagging behind in all kinds of areas and it's been very well documented."

He added, "I think there's lots of things about the Oscars, there's lots of amazing performances every year that don't get recognised. I feel like there's a lot that's unseen about the process. I do think that now these things have come up things are going to start changing. I'm starting to see it in scripts that I read."
As far as his acting career is concerned, Daniel Radcliffe will next appear on the big screen in the new movie Imperium.
