A few years ago, beautiful and talented actress Dakota Johnson was just another hard work actress, trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood, taking on the roles she thought would give her the best chance at becoming one of the top stars in the business. That was until she landed the role of Anastasia Steele in the big screen adaptation of the hit novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
Dakota Johnson is currently in the process of filming the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, but she also has plenty more interesting and exciting movie projects lined up for the future. It is expected that once Dakota has finished shooting Fifty Shades Darker, she will then move on to her new project Under the Silver Lake, which she is expected to star in with Andrew Garfield.
There is not a huge amount known about this new movie yet, apart from the fact that it is going to be a modern noir crime thriller set in Los Angeles. The movie is currently in pre-production but we are hopeful that it will begin shooting at some time this year, which will then hopefully lead to a 2017 release date, which means we could well get some early promotional material before the year is out.
The screenplay for Under the Silver Lake has been written by David Robert Mitchell, who is also currently in line to direct the project. While we were not exactly huge fans of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, we are fans of Dakota Johnson and we hope that Under the Silver Lake becomes a big hit for her.
