When it comes to talking about the all time great football managers, there are not many who can quite compete with what Sir Alex Ferguson achieved at Manchester United, before he decided to retire. During the course of his managerial career at Old Trafford, Sir Alex developed a reputation as a bit of an angry man, especially when things were not going the way he wanted them to.
Sir Alex Ferguson had the pleasure of managing some of the best players in the game, including Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who he sold to Real Madrid. Cristiano has recently been reminiscing about his time at Manchester United and he has reaffirmed that Sir Alex could have quite a temper on him, which the player believes was one of the keys to his success.
Ronaldo remembered, "I remember sometimes when we did something bad or we lost some games. He kicked the chairs, he kicked the boots, he kicked everything, the water, the drinks, and he was so red, saying 'F***, you should pass the ball,' it was unbelievable, but it was good, because we learned."
These days, Sir Alex Ferguson does not have to deal with the pressure of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world, instead having to sit back and watch while Manchester United struggle through their transition with new manager Louis Van Gaal. As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he is still one of the greatest players in the game and is continuing to break records all the time.
