It really is incredible how taking on one particular role in a movie can change your life in a massive way. Sometimes we see a huge Hollywood star making a bad choice and taking on a bad role in a terrible movie, which can see them falling from grace. However, we prefer looking at the little known stars who go on to have hugely successful careers, all thanks to taking on that important role of a lifetime.
Which brings us to the Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who very few people had actually heard of before he was cast in the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These days, Chris is one of the biggest stars on the planet and he is preparing to start shooting the third Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok, which the actor has revealed will take place in Australia.
Hemsworth confirmed, "I wanted to say a huge thank you to the federal government, particularly the Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Minister for the Arts Mitch Fifield for making it possible for Thor: Ragnarok to shoot here in Australia. I'm incredibly excited to be coming back home to work. [...] I look forward to introducing my Marvel friends to this beautiful country of ours."
While some people have not been too impressed with the Thor movies so far, he has become one of our favourite comic book movie characters and we always look forward to seeing Chris Hemsworth on the big screen. Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit the big screen on October 27, 2017 in the UK and November 3, 2017 in the US.
