Chiling Lin is one of only three Taiwanese women who have been chosen by FHM magazine as multiple winners of the title "Sexiest Woman in Taiwan" as she won the title four years in a row since 2007. The two other women who have been selected as multiple winner are Amber An who won it in 2011 and 2012 and now most recently Taiwanese singer-actress Puff Guo who has been selected the winner in 2013 and 2014.

The news of the award has once again put Chiling Lin back in the spotlight which is a place she is generally in because of her exceptional beauty and her acting projects, the most recent is that of her new spy film "The Trump Card".
She is known for her gentle demeanour, physical beauty and her trademark "doll" voice" but for her current project she did not use the voice and instead made her voice normal which has led to much discussion among film critics.

In interviews she explained that in the role she plays in the film her character is the recipient of a significant amount of torture and confronted with many new situations. For her to remain true to the character she believed that it was only appropriate that she change to her real voice so that the audience could see and connect with her character in the film.
Her character in the film is someone who is 20 years older than her and Chiling Lin being the professional she is likely realized that audiences would not be likely to equate her trademark "doll" voice with a character of that mature age.
The actress who has been earning rave reviews for her fashion at events such as the Shanghai film fest in which she wore a low cut gold detailed dress expressed much confidence in how successful the film will be at the box office and received by fans.
Chiling Lin may not have won the Sexiest Woman in Taiwan award but in the eyes of many entertainment insiders she is still the pre-eminent Taiwanese leading lady.
