There have been so many different rumours going around in the past few weeks, months and years, about what we can expect to happen with the future of the DC Extended Universe, especially when it comes to what is going to happen with the character Batman. As you all know, Ben Affleck plays the role of Batman in the DC Extended Universe but nobody seems to know how much longer this will be for.
According to the many different rumours, it is believed that Ben Affleck is no longer happy playing the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman and that he is considering stepping down from the role, leaving the door open for a different actor to take on the role. Then there are the claims that he will stick around to do at least one more movie as Batman, in the planned The Batman movie, before deciding to step down.
However, it now sounds like Ben Affleck is still undecided on what he is going to do with his future as Batman and it has been claimed that he is going to wait and see what the screenplay for The Batman movie is going to be like before he does finally decide. While Ben does have a little bit of creative control, if the plan for the movie is too far from his own ideas then it could spell the end of his run as the Caped Crusader.
For now though it all seems to be ifs, buts and maybes, so we are actually going to have to wait until we finally get some concrete information about the future of Ben Affleck as Batman, before we can then move on to seeing who will take over in the role.
