As we get ever nearer the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are all getting ever more excited about the new movie, which will give us our first look at Ben Affleck playing the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. We will eventually get to see Ben starring in his own Batman solo movie and the actor has once again admitted that he would love to direct the new film.
Affleck told Total Film magazine, "Look, if I could make it work, yeah, obviously it would be like a dream. The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you- if you’re going to direct it- that you can make it good. You’ve got to have the right idea and the right take on it. Broadly speaking, it’s something I’d be open to, for sure. It’s a very exciting idea."
Ben Affleck was not the only person to weigh in on the possibility of directing a Batman solo movie, as the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice executive producer Charles Roven also gave his views on the subject. Charles says he would love to see it happen but it is all a matter of timing and schedules.
Roven added, "He’s got a busy schedule, he’s about to start a movie now. And he’s also got obligations to be in the Justice League movie. The calendar is a little bit tricky. Of course, the script obviously has to be worthy of him wanting to direct it, and once that happens, it’s still got to fit into the calendar. We’re hoping we can make it happen. We’re just at the beginning of the question."
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit the big screen on March 25, 2016 in both the US and the UK. Meanwhile, there is no official release date for the Batman solo movie, as of yet.
