Following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there were a lot of mixed reviews on the DC movie but, one of the things that many people seemed to agree on, was that Ben Affleck was perfect as Bruce Wayne aka Batman. This led to many suggesting that it could be the Ben Affleck standalone Batman movie which could finally save the DC Extended Universe and finally give the fans what they have been craving for so long.
Unfortunately though, The Batman movie has been going the same way as the other projects in the DCEU, with Ben Affleck already stepping down from directing the film, with Matt Reeves being the favourite to take to the directors chair. It has now been suggested that Ben Affleck is now looking for a way to get out of his contract with Warner Bros. and DC, as he no longer wants to play Batman at all.
So far, there have been a number of supposed sources who have claimed that Ben Affleck wants to quit as Batman, although it seems to us that the best bet is to take these rumours with a pinch of salt. With the DCEU only just beginning to get moving in the right direction, we cannot see that they would want to let Ben Affleck walk away so soon, especially if he has a long contract.
We already know that we are going to get to see Ben Affleck reprising his role as Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the long awaited Justice League movie, while many have suggested that he will appear in cameo roles in Wonder Woman and Aquaman, which are both released before The Batman.
Do you think Ben Affleck will quit as Batman?
