Despite the fact that Anne Hathaway has won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar and continues to land some very interesting roles in some very exciting movies, there are still plenty of people who insist on hating on the actress. While most of the criticism tends to come from moviegoers and critics, it seems that there are even some people in the industry who have questioned the actress.
Anne Hathaway has spoken about the haters and her career over the years, revealing that there have been certain roles that she has been overlooked for because she has been deemed not sexy enough. However, Anne insists that she is sexy in an unconventional way but could play sexy in any way that is needed.
Hathaway explained, "A lot of people have told me, 'You're not this and so can't play that,' and I can't tell you the amount of times I've been told I'm not sexy. I just go: 'I'm a lot of things. Just because I don't wear my sexiness overtly doesn't mean that I can't become that girl for a role. That's what I do; I become things. Use your imagination, buddy."
While admitting that she has belief in herself and her talent, insisting that she can play any role that comes her way, Anne Hathaway also went on to praise her Interstellar co-star Matthew McConaughey. She said, "He never judged himself along the way, and it's all come together for him so wholly and deeply. He is totally himself."
As well as starring alongside Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar, Anne Hathaway also shares the screen with the likes of Jessica Chastain, Elyes Gabel, Wes Bentley, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, Topher Grace, and Mackenzie Foy, plus others. Interstellar is directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the screenplay he developed with Jonathan Nolan, with the movie set to open on November 7 in both the US and the UK.
