We have heard of a number of different reasons as to why an actress has been rejected for a role over the years, and it seems that even the biggest names in the acting industry have been turned down for a rather interesting reason. Now, Hollywood actress Alison Brie has opened up about a particular occasion when she was turned down for an acting role in a movie.
While Alison Brie does not reveal exactly what movie it was, she does admit that she was rejected for a very odd reason indeed. 33-year-old Alison was looking to land a role as a love interest alongside 66-year-old Jeff Bridges, when she was told that she was too old for what they were looking for.
Brie was recently doing an interview to promote her new movie, when talk turned to the aging differences between men and women in Hollywood, "Men have significantly younger love interests in films pretty often. I was recently told I was too old to play Jeff Bridges’ love interest, and I thought ‘how weird!’ So it is sort of strange," she explained.
Fortunately though, Alison Brie is a very talented actress who is always very much in demand, so she is not short of plenty of acting work. We will next see Alison on the big screen, starring alongside the likes of Anna Kendrick, Bryan Cranston, and Miles Teller in the new movie Get a Job, which has been directed by Dylan Kidd and is due to open on limited release on March 25, in the US.
